About This Blog

I made a life long covenant with my husband, Kyle, on August 7th, 2010. When making that covenant, my husband and I both knew that we were in it for life - no matter what happens. There may come a day when living with each other is less than pleasant. There may come a day when we aren't getting along and it's hard to find peace. There may even come a day that we fall out of love and don't want to be married anymore. No matter what happens, we firmly believe that marriage is meant for a lifetime. We believe that marriage is not about happiness but about holiness. We have each other as husband and wife not only to meet our physical and emotional needs but to live out the Gospel and to glorify God. Marriage is not the happy ending to a romantic fairytale; it is so much more than that. It is the "iron sharpens iron" concept; it molds us, humbles us, and causes us to cling, not only to our spouse, but to the God who brought us together. Marriage is a lifetime of learning, growing, and becoming one.

This blog is about my journey in marriage, my life as a wife, and about the things I am passionate about such as marriage, family, children, adolescent development, education, and theology. Writing is an outlet for me and helps me a great deal so I also tend to write about whatever is on my mind and need to process through. I appreciate those who read and learn, contribute their opinions or ideas, or just simply enjoy visiting. Please feel free to drop in on my thoughts anytime!
